Quick Overview

Tornado GR1 - Night and Day

* Required Fields

Night and Day, in all weathers and all terrains; at Low Level and Medium Level; in War and Peace; in the Strike Penetration, Attack and Reconnaissance roles, the Panavia Tornado has been the most versatile and important combat aircraft in the Royal Air Force front line since 1982. Still in action on combat operations in its final years of service in 2017/18, RAF Tornados have played a key role in all European and Middle East military operations since the Gulf War in 1991.

Michael Rondot’s painting is a classic wet runway portrayal of a Tornado GR1 taking off in a cloud of steam and spray. The aircraft is in a standard training fit and has no squadron or unit markings, representing any aircraft and any squadron during the 1980s Cold War years. His painting radiates a powerful and dynamic image of a warplane in action while retaining the all-important technical accuracy and attention to detail, which are his trademark.

WHEN ORDERING, use the CONTACT US tab at top right on the menu bar above to ASK FOR YOUR CHOICE OF SQUADRON MARKINGS to be added in pencil on the print border. Each print will have an artist-signed original pencil drawing of your choice.

For something really special why not personalise your print by ordering a Remarque version? Remarque prints have a detailed drawing of a Tornado with a squadron badge added to the print border and can include any special requests. Each drawing is unique, adding a personal touch and, of course, enhancing the value of the print.

 CONTACT US when ordering or call 01362 860890 to discuss your individual print order.
