Details

This is Michael Rondot's stunning farewell tribute portrayal of a Royal Air Force F-4 Phantom FGR2 landing in brilliant sunshine. Old fighters never die, and they don't fade away either. The F-4 Phantom lives on in the hearts and minds of aircrew, groundcrew and enthusiasts alike. In RAF service the Phantom was the classic Cold War warrior, defending UK and NATO airspace in the Strike, Ground Attack and Air Defence roles. The F-4 may have reached the end of the line with the RAF and the USAF but the legend lives on for this big, powerful, beautifully ugly fighter. Revered by its aircrew for its performance and firepower, the F-4 Phantom was one of the best and most popular fighters ever built.

We have now released the 50 Artist's Proofs and 10 Canvas Prints to complete the edition. Printed on heavy cotton paper stock using the latest high-definition giclée press, each copy is individually signed and numbered.  For something really special, pencil remarque drawings can be added to the print border featuring any Phantom squadron aircraft and badge.
