Details
Our first print, published in 1980, Hawker Hunter set the standard for all future editions. This example is a Hunter FGA9 landing on a wet runway.
This painting was the fiftieth (50) Hawker Hunter painted by Michael Rondot and in his own words "the first one he got right". He was flying Hunters at the time at RAF Lossiemouth and the close contact with the aircraft helped to clarify the subtlety of the graceful lines of the beautiful Hunter. Many artists have tried to paint the Hawker Hunter but few have captured the shape and detail with such accuracy and atmosphere. This is a real pilot's picture.
We have recently released 50 giclée artist's proofs to celebrate 40 years of Collectair Limited Editions, Aogust 1980 - August 2020.
