Shiny Two. Panavia Tornado GR1A

Panavia Tornado GR1A reconnaissance variant from No.II (AC) Squadron. Based in RAF Germany and deployed to Saudi Arabia during Operation DESERT STORM, the recce Tornado was the only night capable recce asset in theatre and was used for hunting Scud missile lauchers. 

Plagued with technical difficulties and ineffective recce systems, it was not a great success initially and only became a useful recce platform with the introduction of the RAPTOR pod on the updated Tornado GR4.
